04 Jul 10 - EDUCATIONAL AID: Providing Education and making students go to school with dignity is what SYMA has been dreaming of and through our Educational Aid, we have been reaching out to more students year after year. This year we distributed uniforms to around 1200 children. We have been providing financial assistance to college students and with the running of SYMA Growth, we had committed to do something for those students who come out with flying colours. We provided Rs.10000/- to six students who secured more than 1000 marks (out of 1200) in +2 and got admitted into Engineering college. For the 17 students, who secured more than 400 10th Std, we provided Rs.2000/- each. Besides, we have been recognizing the school toppers of schools in Triplicane.

Our Educational Aid programme was held with grandeur on 4th July 2010, at Bharathiar Illam, Triplicane. There was huge gathering. Our programme started at 6.15 pm with Prayer. Our President TA Sampathkumar welcomed the gathering and made the presidential address tracing the origin, our ideals and spoke about our ultimate aims. S Sampathkumar, Secretary compered the programme.

Every year we have eminent persons whom the students can have as roll models. This year, we had distinguished dignitaries Mr TT Srinivasaraghavan, Mr. M Saravanan and Mr SAM Hussein . TTS as he is fondly known is the MD of Sundaram Finance Ltd, a Company known for trust and efficiency. Mr TTS has held many great positions, served in various committees and is a very affable person. Mr M Saravanan, MD of AVM Productions has won many awards is known for his simplicity. Mr Hussein who represented Triplicane constituency earlier has been our well wisher and has helped us many a times. SYMA was fortunate
to have these two giants embellishing the podium.

Financial assistance was distributed to the distinguished students of SYMA Growth and the school toppers of various schools of Triplicane were honoured. SYMA Sewa Award was conferred on Mrs Pankajam Sridhar, fondly called ‘Subha Madam'. Our Secretary R Sanjeevi proposed Vote of thanks.

Growth Results 09-10 : Our Tuition Centre “GROWTH” has produced excellent results yielding 100% in 12th STD and 95% in 10th STD. Six students in 12th STD obtained more than 1000/1200 – the first getting 1131/1200 and 17 of our students secured more than 400 / 500 in 10th STD – the first mark is 473/500.

12 Jul 09 : The Educational aid programme was held on 12th July at NKT National Girls Higher secondary School, Triplicane. Around 1000 uniforms were distributed. School toppers in Triplicane area in 10 th and 12 th were honoured and financial assistance were given to 25 college students. Dr. V.Iraianbu, IAS and Mr.R.Nataraj, IPS were the chief guests. The SYMA Seva Award was presented to Sri.D.Venkatesh who has donated blood more than 100 times.

A journey to a thousand miles begins with a single step. We started off distributing uniforms to 2 students in 1977 and to-day around 1200 students have benefited from our uniform distribution project. Over the years, around 10,000 students have been provided with uniform.

12 Jul 08 : First day of "GROWTH" commenced with 120 students as scheduled at N K T National Boys Higher Secondary School, Triplicane. Classes will be conducted every friday to sunday evening 16.00 hrs to 18-00 hrs.  Photos


06 Jul 08 : EDUCATIONAL AID: The Educational aid programme held on 6th July at NKT National Gilrls higher secondary school,Triplicane. Around 1200 uniforms were distributed on that day. 18 school toppers of Triplicane schools were honoured and financial aid distributed to 25 students. 08 Jul 07 : Educational Aid, uniform distribution function was a grandiose function, there was a hectic activity at the house where Mahakavi Subhramanya Bharathiyar once lived. Nawab Mohammed Ali, His Highness the Prince of Arcot a well known social activist was our chief guest. Rajesh B Lakhani, the commissioner was the guest of honor. Mr. Muniraj Pandit, who has been associated with home Guards, Indian Red Cross, Dept. of Youth and Affairs & Sports was the SYMA Seva Award recipient of this year. Also inaugurated our Lab in association with Kanchi Sankara Foundation


09 Jul 2006 : Educational Aid programme was held at N.K.T. National Girls Higher Secondary School . Around 1200 sets of uniforms were distributed to the needy students Cash Awards were given to the toppers of Class X and Class XII from the schools of Triplicane (around 18 students) Scholarships were also given to 10 college students

Commodore U.N.Chitnavis, Deputy Director General - NCC, Sri. R.Anand, Director of Postal Services and Sri. Hemant Dugar, Managing Trustee, Rajasthan Cosmo Club graced the occasion as Chief Guests.

25 Jun 2005 : Educational Aid programme was held at N.K.T. National Girls Higher Secondary School . Around 1120 sets of uniforms were distributed out of which 200 were to the students from the Tsunami affected coastal hamlets of Poompuhar. Cash Awards were given to the toppers of Class X and Class XII from the schools of Triplicane.

Hon'ble Justice S.Natarajan (Former judge of Supreme Court), Mr. S.Kalyanam, Retd Judge (Customs and Central Excise Tribunal) and Sri A.Kuppuswamy, Deputy Commissioner (HR & CE) graced the occasion as Chief Guests.

18 Jul 2004 : Educational Aid programme was held at Bharathiyar Illam, Triplicane. Around 1000 sets of uniforms were distributed to the needy students.

Cash Awards were given to the toppers of Class X and Class XII from the schools of Triplicane. Prof V.V.Subramaniam, Principal, Vivekandanda College was the Chief Guest. Mr. Delhi Ganesh and Mr. Naresh Jain also adorned the podium.

15 Aug 2004 : Personality Development for youth in association with Poorna Yogam attended by More than 60

18 Jul 2004 : Uniform Distribution function in which besides distribution of uniforms the school toppers of various schools in Triplicane were honoured and the full educational expenses for the top 8 children of `Nalaya Bharatham' project was paid.

18 Jun 2004 : Facelift given to blackboards of N.K.T. Boys High School.

8 Jun 2004 : Arranged to view the transit of Mars between Earth and Sun for school children at temple tank.

15 Nov 2003 :`Nalaya Bharatham' a project for empowering the students of D3 Police Boys Club was launched. From November onwards till March 2004 we conducted classes for 3 hours on every saturdays imparting amongst the school curriculam, yoga, sports, general knowledge, moral stories and civic awareness.

Host of famous persons from various walks of the society addressed the students every week.

12 July 2003 : Workshop on “Personality Development” was organised jointly with Poorna Yogam for the benefit of students.

13 June 2003 : Two sets of uniform were distributed to all students of N.K.T. Boys Higher Secondary School in coordination with Rajasthan Cosmo Club Foundation
