Every year, SYMA does voluntary service at Sri Parthasarathyswamy temple during Vaikunda Ekadesi and New Year Day.
16 Aug 2005 : SYMA gets a reply from the Delimitation Commission assuring to give the residents of Triplicane a reasonable opportunity to voice their concern over the proposed changes.
Jul 2005: SYMA took efforts to protect the Triplicane constituency by requesting in writing to the Delimitation Commission not to go ahead with its proposed plans to remove the Triplicane Constituency. A signature campaign was carried out and a meeting of the residents of Triplicane was also convened.
30 Jul 2005 : A post office was opened at Hanumantha Rayan Koil Street due to the sustained efforts of SYMA and other like minded individuals like Mr.R.Kannan, Mr. T.S.Sampath. SYMA coordinated with Sri Parthasarathy Swamy Temple Devasthanam and the Department of Posts & Telegraphs. We also arranged for a sponsor (Mr. R.Rajagopalan, RR Constructions) to carry out the civil repairs to the building.
24 May 2004 : Food, Cool drinks were distributed to Devotees during Sri Parthasarathy Swamy Temple Samprokshanam. Due to the efforts of our members, many unemployed persons have secured jobs.
19 May 2005 : SYMA in association with Sri Krishna Sweets installed a Music System inside the Sri Parthasarathy Swamy Temple Tank. Every day, devotional songs are played from 5.00 to 7.00 in the evenings.
26 Mar 2003 : Coodination in bringing up a Police outpost near the Temple Tank , sponsored by Sri Vasavi Constructions.
03 Mar 2002 : A booklet containing important Telephone numbers relevent to Triplicane residents was published and distributed free of cost.
22 Feb 2002 : Yet another public toilet and bathroom was set up near Sri Parthasarathyswamy temple due to SYMA's efforts and maintained by SYMA.
31 Oct 1998 : Sign boards warning the public about pickpocketers and thieves were installed in the surrounding areas of Sri Parthasarathy Swamy temple
8-10 Dec 1995 : Our members took part in the Sri Vaikanasa Archaka Manila Manadu and offered their service.
2 Nov 1991 : A safety awareness programme for Housewives in handling LPG gas cylinders was organised at Samarao School in association with Indian Oil Corporation & Swathi Gas Agency.
3 Jun 1990 : Our members offered their services at Sri Jagannatha Perumal Temple , Tirumazhisai on the occasion of Samprokshanam.
1989 - 1990 : For nearly two years our members regulated traffic in T.P. Koil Street near Sri Raghavendra Temple on Thursdays.
03 May 1978 : A questionaire was prepared and distributed to the residents and the Association acted on their problems by meeting/writing to the officials.
26 Jan 1978 : Public Telephone Booth for the benefit of the local residents was first arranged by SYMA. Mr. Thanjai Murthy agreed to operate the same at his place.
16 Jun 1978 : SYMA members collected statistics of old and corresponding new door number and handed it over to Triplicane Post Office.
15 Aug 1977 : SYMA impressed upon Corporation of Chennai and HR & CE to construct a Toilet for public convenience near Sri Parthasarathyswamy Temple Tank.
