Tennis ball cricket tournament was conducted every year till 2001. In the prize distribution function many top cricketers like Mr. V. Sivaramakrishnan, Mr. S. Ramesh, Mr.L.Sivaramakrishnan, Mr. C.S.Sureshkumar, Ms. Sumathy Iyer were invited as chief guests to distribute prizes.

06 Feb 1998 : Mr. V.V. Kumar and Mr. Robin Singh Indian Test Cricketers were felicitated.

17 Apr 1996 : A contest was held in connection with World Cup for cricket. Mr. T.A. Sekar distributed prizes to the winners.

13 Jul 1989 : Sports Quiz was organised at Ranganathan Chetty Hall.

17 Apr 1988 : The Tamilnadu Cricket team was felicitated for winning the Ranji Trophy. The entire team along with the captain Mr. S. Vasudevan attended.

Aug 1987 & 1989 :    Chess  tournament was conducted at V. Ranganatham Chetty Hall for school and college students.

08 May 1978 : Mr. S. Venkatraghavan was felicitated on his appointment as the captain of Indian Cricket Team.
